A child psychiatrist at one of the hospitals in the Kyiv region was exposed and the suspicion was reported.

Law enforcement officials exposed a psychiatrist from the Kyiv region who demanded undue benefits from the child’s parents for registering a disability. This was reported by the press service of the Kiev Regional Prosecutor's Office on Monday, April 29.

“They exposed and reported suspicion to a children’s psychiatrist at one of the hospitals in the Kiev region. She was charged with extortion and obtaining unlawful benefits by an official,” the report says.

According to the investigation, the suspect demanded 20 thousand hryvnia from a resident of the Kiev region. At this amount, she estimated her services in preparing medical documents necessary to register disability for a minor child who had legal grounds for its registration.
